Who is Ezgi?
Ezgi Yargici is an accomplished baroque, modern, and electric cellist as well as successful teaching artist. She graduated from Bilkent University with a Bachelor’s of Music Degree in Cello Performance and from Temple University with a Master’s of Music Degree in both Cello Performance and String Pedagogy. Additionally, she has done professional studies at The Hartt School of Music.
Ezgi has been professionally performing around the world for over 15 years. As an active freelance cellist, she performs in various settings: solo recitals, chamber music concerts, historical ensembles, contemporary ensembles, orchestras, and special events in and around the Philadelphia area. She has appeared with Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, Kennett Symphony, Allentown Symphony Orchestra, Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra, New Manhattan Sinfonietta, Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, Brooklyn Orchestra, Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, Bay Atlantic Symphony, Vox Ama Deus Baroque Ensemble, Garden State Philharmonic, Wilmington Ballet, Pennsylvania Philharmonic, New Jersey Capital Philharmonic, Great Hall Chamber Orchestra, and… etc. In addition to performing in various venues including Verizon Hall and Perelman Theater at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, and the United Nations in New York, she has also performed abroad in Canada, Belgium, China, and Turkey.
As a teaching artist, Ezgi has worked individual students of all ages and levels in her private studio “Ezgi’s Cello Club” as well as groups in various school programs such as Suzuki, Orff, and El Sistema programs. Some of the organizations she has taught are: La Fayatte College, Germantown Academy, The Shipley School, Musicopia, Tune Up Philly, Play On Philly, Symphony in C, Green Tambourine, Maestro Studios, Main Line Music Academy, Hear and There Music, Musika Lessons, Mira Music School, Maestro Studios, Temple University, Music Prep. Division, and others.
